The newest exhibition at Gallery 62 in Joshua Tree is “Abstractions.” Artists Bonnie Brady, Hiroko Momii, Esther Shaw, Dorothy Baker, Stephanie Cate, and Eric Banas will display their abstract art at the gallery from Friday, August 31 through September 30. An artists’ reception is set for Saturday, September 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. during the Second Saturday Art Crawl. The Art Queen Gallery in downtown Joshua Tree will hold an opening reception for its new show on Saturday, September 1. The Fever Dream art exhibit will feature new paintings and sculptures by Christiane Cegavske, Zara Kand, and Carol Cameron. The opening reception will also feature a sneak preview of Cegavske’s films “Seed in the Sand” and “A Dream of Dolls Dancing.” There will be live music and refreshments.
