Two Morongo Valley men suspected of robbing two Circle K convenience stores an hour apart earlier this month were arrested early Friday morning. On February 5, two young men entered the Circle K on Highway 62 in Morongo Valley about 3:15 a.m. and allegedly stole multiple boxes of vape pens and then fled the store. About an hour later, the same two men entered the Circle K store on Old Woman Springs Road and grabbed several cigar packages and electronic cigarettes before fleeing the store. Both robberies were captured on surveillance video. After conducting follow-up investigations, Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joshua Botts, 18, and Kaileb Toensing, 18, about 3:30 a.m. Friday morning in the 49800 block of Visnaga Avenue in Morongo Valley. Joshua Botts and Kaileb Toensing were arrested for investigation of robbery and conspiracy, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $100,000 each.
