TWO MORONGO BASIN RESIDENTS ACCUSED OF SELLING AND TRANSPORTING METHAMPHETAMINE

Two Morongo Basin Residents were arrested late Friday night (September 17) accused of selling and transporting methamphetamine. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Adobe Road and El Paseo Trail in Twentynine Palms. During their investigation, Deputies determined the driver and passenger, Christina Godfrey, 34 of Twentynine Palms, and Joshua Mackenzie, 39 of Joshua Tree, both had felony warrants. During a search of the vehicle, Deputies located methamphetamine. Christina Godfrey was arrested for investigation of possession of methamphetamine for sale, transporting methamphetamine, and on a felony no-bail warrant for probation violation. Joshua Mackenzie was arrested for investigation of transportation of methamphetamine and on a felony warrant for parole violation. They were booked into the West Valley Detention Center with their bails set at $50,000 each.
