Two Twentynine Palms men were arrested Thursday, after a passer-by noticed them breaking into a home in Twentynine Palms. Just before 11 a.m., deputies were called to the 6400 block of Ocotillo Avenue in Twentynine Palms because a witness saw a man enter a home that was supposed to be vacant. The deputy located Michael Stewart, 26, and Dwaine Webber, 38, both of Twentynine Palms at the home. Dwaine Webber was found in possession of a controlled substance, cited and released. Michael Stewart was found to be in possession of burglary tools and a backpack issued by the U.S. Marine Corps. Steward was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for possession of burglary tools, appropriation of lost property, and on a $50,000 warrant for trespassing.
