TWO MEN ARRESTED IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS OF POSSESSING METH FOR SALES

Two men were arrested Thursday in separate incidents, suspected of being drug dealers. About 12:40 a.m. Thursday, Robert Kimmel, 55, was stopped in the 62400 block of Highway 62 in Joshua Tree. During the contact with Kimmel, the deputy found more than $800 in different denominations in Kimmel’s possession, and learned that  Kimmel had thrown about 18 grams of methamphetamine into a dumpster when the deputy pulled up. The deputy located the drugs and then arrested Robert Kimmel for investigation of being in possession of methamphetamine for sales.

Then about 11:10 a.m. Thursday, Victor Finn, 45, was stopped near Highway 62 and Warren Vista Avenue in Yucca Valley. The deputy discovered Finn had 75 grams of meth in his possession, as well as a large amount of cash. Victor Finn was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of methamphetamine for sales. Both Kimmel and Finn were booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with their bail set at $50,000 each.
