TWO MEN ARRESTED IN MORONGO VALLEY FOR POSSESSION OF A STOLEN VEHICLE

Two men were arrested in Morongo Valley accused of being in possession of a stolen vehicle following an investigation into possible drug sales. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies responded to the 49400 block of Conejo road in Morongo Valley for a report of heavy foot traffic, day and night, from a motorhome on a property that was otherwise abandoned. Deputies responded and discovered the motorhome had been reported stolen out of Indio. Deputies located Mayra Cambron Osuna, 33, of Desert Hot Springs and Shawn Baumann, 44, of Palm Springs inside the motorhome. During a search, deputies located suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia. Mayra Cambron Osuna and Shawn Baumann were both arrested for investigation of being in possession of a stolen vehicle and were both booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with their bails set at $50,000 each.
