TWO ARRESTED AFTER THE STRONG-ARM ROBBERY OF A BICYCLE

Two men were arrested Wednesday following a robbery. Deputies were called to the 61900 block of Sunburst Circle in Joshua Tree about 10 a.m. Wednesday for a strong-arm robbery. Deputies learned that Blair Dawson, 18, of Joshua Tree had assaulted the owner of a $6,000 mountain bike and then stole the bicycle, before fleeing. Deputies located Dawson, along with Madison McCauley, 19, of Yucca Valley, and the stolen bike at a Joshua Tree home. Blair Dawson was arrested for strong-arm robbery and possession of stolen property, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $100,000. Madison McCauley was arrested for possession of stolen property. Due to the statewide emergency bail schedule that mandates that the bail for most misdemeanor and some felony offences be set at $0, Madison McCauley was booked and released.
