TWO MEN AND A JUVENILE ARRESTED FOR FIGHTING IN PUBLIC IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Twentynine Palms man, a Colton man, and a Twentynine Palms juvenile were arrested Thursday (May 27) all accused of fighting in public. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies responded to Luckie Park in the 5800 block of Luckie Avenue in Twentynine Palms around 9 p.m. for a report of a fight. Arriving deputies observed a large crowd of people gathered around three subjects fighting. After the suspects disregarded verbal orders from the deputies to stop, the deputies entered the crowd and intervened for public safety. Deputies arrested Anthony Olivas, 19, of Colton; Ricardo Olivas, 19 of Twentynine Palms; and an unidentified 14-year-old juvenile of Twentynine Palms. The juvenile was issued a citation and released to a responsible party. Anthony Olivas and Ricardo Olivas were both arrested for investigation of fighting in public and misdemeanor child abuse, and were booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.
