Two people from the low desert were arrested by the California Highway Patrol Thursday after they allegedly gave the officer false names. About 3 a.m., a CHP officer stopped a vehicle at Highway 62 at Bella Vista in Morongo Valley. Inside the vehicle were Dominic Davila, 31, of Coachella, and Mesita LaBuen, 29, of Cathedral City. After both Davila and LaBuen allegedly gave the CHP officer fake names, they were arrested on suspicion of felony false impersonation, booked into the Morongo Basin jail, and released with their bail set at zero dollars.
