TWO INJURIES, ONE SERIOUS IN JOHNSON VALLEY OFF-ROAD ROLLOVER

Two people were injured, one seriously, in an off-road rollover crash Sunday near the Johnson Valley dry lakebed. According to a Sheriff’s report, Justin Brown, 32, and Carrie Brown, 55, both of Chino Hills, were in an off-road vehicle north of the Johnson Valley dry lakebed when the vehicle rolled over. The reporting party called 911 and said the driver was injured in the crash, but was unable to give an exact location of where the rollover occurred. While CHP and county firefighters were en route to the scene, another off-roader came across the rollover and was able to provide a GPS location. When rescue personnel arrived at the scene about 12:30 p.m., they discovered there were two victims. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, had been ejected and sustained serious injuries. A passenger, who also was not wearing a seatbelt, was not ejected, but sustained moderate injuries. Due to the injuries and the remote location of the rollover crash, both victims were transported by helicopter to Loma Linda Medical Center.
