A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Tuesday (July 27) accused of felony hit-and-run after running a stop sign in Yucca Valley. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies responded to the intersection of Antelope Trail and Sage Avenue in Yucca Valley around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a multi-vehicle traffic collision. Arriving deputies determined that Laurie Gentry, 73, had run a stop sign and broadsided the victim’s vehicle. The victim and the victim’s daughter were both injured in the collision. Gentry fled the scene, but the license plate to Gentry’s vehicle was left behind. Deputies located Laurie Gentry around 5:15 p.m. and arrested her for investigation of felony hit-and-run. Gentry was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and was later released on $50,000 bail. The condition of the victim and her daughter are unknown.
