TWO INJURED DURING TWENTYNINE PALMS HOME INVASION ROBBERY

***Corrects previous story to indicate injuries were NOT from gunshot wounds.

We have limited information about a home invasion robbery in Twentynine Palms late Monday night that resulted in two men being hospitalized. Early reports indicate that, while gunshots were heard from the home, the injuries were not from gunshot wounds but from a fight that occurred during the commission of the robbery. Early information from Sheriff’s investigators indicate that paramedics were called to the 74000 block of Casita Drive at midnight. Once there, they learned it was a home-invasion robbery, and deputies were called to investigate. Two men, identified only as being in their early 20s, were taken to local hospitals with injuries from a struggle. Z107.7 will have more information as it becomes available.
