TWO HOSPITALIZED FOLLOWING CRASH IN MORONGO VALLEY TUESDAY

Two people were sent to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a crash in Morongo Valley. CHP Officer Jason Kobaly said that William Rhodes, 22, and his passenger, Karen Grow, 24, both of Twentynine Palms, were riding a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Highway 62 about 12:40 p.m. Betty Eversole, 82, of Morongo Valley, was driving her 2014 Chevy Malibu westbound on the highway, and made a left turn into the Morongo Valley post office parking lot in front of the motorcycle. Rhodes and Grow were thrown off the motorcycle following the crash. Rhodes suffered minor injuries and Grow sustained major injuries; they were taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs by Morongo Basin Ambulance.
