TWO HISTORICAL GROUPS TEAM UP TO DOCUMENT 100 YEARS

The Twentynine Palms Historical Society and the Morongo Basin Historical Society have embarked on a joint venture to document 100 years of Morongo Basin History, starting in 1910. The end result will be a publication having one page per year. They are aiming for a publication date in October 2014. Currently organizers are in need of volunteers to help research events. They also need people to relate their own remembrances of events in the Morongo Basin. To volunteer or get more information, please contact one of the following people: Laurie Geeson, President, Morongo Basin Historical Society, 760-363-6681, [email protected]; or Les Snodgrass, President, Twentynine Palms Historical Society, 760-362-4097, [email protected].
