A Morongo Valley man was arrested Sunday night, accused of assaulting his wife. According to a Sheriff’s report, Richard Roberts, 25, of the 9500 block of Bella Vista Drive, came home drunk about 11 p.m., began yelling at his wife and then grabbed her and threw her to the ground. The woman ran to the bathroom and locked herself in. The woman told dispatchers she could hear her husband loading a gun on the other side of the bathroom door. After an investigation, Richard Roberts was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
A Morongo Valley man was arrested Friday night, accused of possibly breaking his wife’s wrist. According to a Sheriff’s report, Bryan Davis, 53, was arguing with his wife about 8:30 p.m. When the woman tried to leave the room, Davis allegedly slammed the door on her wrist, possibly breaking it. A deputy confirmed her wrist was bruised and swollen, and her daughter brought the woman to Hi-Desert Medical Center for treatment. After an investigation, Bryan Davis was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
