TWO DESERT HOT SPRINGS MEN ARRESTED FOLLOWING STAND-OFF

Two Desert Hot Springs men were arrested following a two-hour stand-off Thursday afternoon. According to a press release, Desert Hot Springs police were called at 1:22 p.m. to the 66200 block of Cahuilla Avenue for a domestic violence call concerning a parolee-at-large, identified as Danilo Flores, 34. Flores refused to come out, but he was finally detained two hours later. Inside the home, deputies located multiple weapons, ammunition, and stolen property, including a stolen gun. Danilo Flores was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, spouse abuse, being a felon in possession of ammunition, false imprisonment, resisting arrest, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property, and violation of his parole. Danilo Flores was booked into Smith Correctional Facility in Banning with his bail set at $450,000. Also inside the home was Andrew Martinez, 39. Martinez was arrested for investigation of possession of stolen property, being a felon in possession of ammunition, violation of his probation, and on two warrants for grand theft auto. Andrew Martinez was also booked into the jail in Banning with his bail set at $45,000.
