Sketchy details on two crashes in Twentynine Palms this weekend. Saturday afternoon about 3:10, a motorcycle rider suffered major injuries after a crash with a Ford Expedition at Utah Trail and the Highway. According to a Sheriff’s report, the female driver of the Expedition was driving north on Utah Trail through the intersection when the male driver of the motorcycle crashed into car. The motorcycle rider was airlifted to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs; the woman had minor scratches to her face and denied medical treatment.
Then about 2:30 Sunday morning, the driver of a Honda lost control of the car, and the car flipped over and sheered off a utility pole on the north side of the highway at Alfalfa Avenue. The driver was gone on arrival of the Sheriff’s Department and paramedics. Z107.7 will have more details as they become available.
