Among the presentations at the Twentynine Palms City Council meeting on September 24 will be one by County Sheriff John McMahon regarding AB109 (the prison reorganization bill); an update on the activities of the San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG) which affect the Morongo Basin; and an update by the Public Arts Advisory Committee, which will include a presentation about the Dan Luckenbill Memorial Sculpture. Council discussions include approval of the contract with CalTrans for traffic signals at Encelia Avenue and Lear Avenue, and approval of the fee schedule for the new electric vehicle charging station in Bucklin Park. City Manager Joe Guzzetta will report on project and study status. The Council meets at 6 p.m. in City Hall. On the following day, Wednesday the 25th, at 4 p.m., the Oversight Board for the Successor to the dissolved Redevelopment Agency will meet in the same space to hear successor agency and legislative updates, and to approve the Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule.
