The Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Department is investigating two bodies that were found in a Wonder Valley home Saturday morning. According to the Sheriff’s Department, a friend went to the home in the 80500 block of Norman Road about 8:20 a.m. and discovered the front door was wide open and a foul odor coming from inside the home. Deputies performed a welfare check and located the body of a man on the front porch and the body of a woman inside the home. Due to the state of decomposition of the bodies, Sheriff’s investigators believe the man and woman have been deceased for several weeks. Autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
