Birdwatchers get your binoculars ready. There are two bird counts in the month of December that need people who love birdwatching. On Sunday, December 14, participants will meet at the Big Morongo Preserve main parking lot and birdwatch from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Sunday, December 28, participants will meet either at Indian Cove Ranger Station or the West Entrance Station to Joshua Tree National Park and birdwatch from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. For both bird counts, birdwatchers should bring lunch, water, binoculars, field guides, and warm clothing.
