Two men were arrested Wednesday, accused of felony spouse abuse. According to a Sheriff’s report, about 6 a.m., Adam Almoula, 30, of the 7100 block of Palm Avenue in Yucca Valley, got up and was angry with his girlfriend, and so he took a metal pole, about 4 feet long and more than an inch wide, and started hitting her with it. The report states she received bruising and lacerations to her ankle, shoulder, and back from being hit by the metal rod. After an investigation, Adam Almoula was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
In Joshua Tree, the Sheriff’s Department reports that Dan Rich, 45, was arguing with a woman about 2 p.m. in the 55900 block of Navajo Trail. Witnesses said they could hear the woman yelling at Rich to let her go, and Rich yelling something about a knife. After an investigation, deputies arrested Dan Rich on suspicion of felony spouse abuse. Rich was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
