TWO ARRESTS AFTER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested early Monday morning, after his girlfriend said he beat her up. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman in the 5800 block of Bagley Avenue started screaming about 3:40 a.m. The woman told deputies that her boyfriend, John Delaney, 22, punched her in the face several times with his right hand. Although Delaney denied hitting the woman, the deputy found blood stains on his right hand. John Delaney was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.

And deputies responded about 12 hours later to another domestic dispute at another home in the 5800 block of Bagley Avenue. Neighbors called about 3 p.m. to report they could hear banging on the walls and a woman yelling for help. According to a Sheriff’s report, Demarqus Bush, 27, grabbed the woman during an argument, restrained her from leaving, took her phone away so she couldn’t call for help, and broke several items inside the house. Demarqus Bush was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
