TWO ARRESTED IN YUCCA VALLEY FOR IDENTITY THEFT

Two Desert Hot Springs residents were arrested in Yucca Valley, accused of identity theft. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a vehicle in the 55500 block of Iona Lane about 11:30 a.m. Inside the vehicle, were Donald Berry, 38, and Amber Lugauer, 40, both listed no formal address. During a search of the vehicle, deputies found identification and personal information for multiple victims, card readers, and blank credit cards with magnetic strips. Donald Berry was arrested for investigation of identity theft, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000. Amber Lugauer was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, cited and released.
