TWO ARRESTED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS ACCUSED OF IDENTITY THEFT

Two men were arrested Tuesday (March 9) during a probation check, accused of identity theft. About 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, Sheriff deputies conducted a probation check on Eugene Adams, 45, of Twentynine Palms, in the 71800 block of Highway 62. During the check, Adams and another unidentified suspect were found to be in possession of multiple items consistent with identity theft. The unidentified suspect also appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Both were subsequently arrested; Eugene Adams was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for suspected violation of probation and identity theft, with his bail set at $50,000.
