Two Twentynine Palms residents were arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop in Twentynine Palms. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a vehicle near Sullivan Road and Pine Avenue just before 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. Inside the car were Anthony Romero, 44, and Katrina Gaines, 33. Anthony Romero was arrested on an outstanding no-bail warrant for his arrest for possession of methamphetamine for sales. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. Katrina Gaines was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of ammunition, false impersonation to a law enforcement officer, and bringing contraband into a jail facility and on various warrants for her arrest. Gaines was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $275,000.
