Two people were arrested Tuesday, accused of transporting heroin. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies made a probation compliance check at the home of Julie DaSilva, 29, in the 62200 block of Dennis Avenue in Joshua Tree about 5:15 yesterday. There they found DaSilva and Shawn Lucero, 33, of Yucca Valley. Both DaSilva and Lucero have multiple convictions of possession and transportation of controlled substances. After an investigation, Julie DaSilva and Shawn Lucero were arrested on suspicion of transportation of heroin, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $50,000 each.
