Two Twentynine Palms men were arrested early Sunday morning after they robbed a group of men at gunpoint. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Rick Millard, Cedrick Reynolds and Antonio Torres, both 23, approached the four intoxicated men near the intersection of Aztec Avenue and Casita Drive in Twentynine Palms about 2 a.m. The robbers fired one shot at the men, but no one was hit. Reynolds and Torres stole the victims’ wallets and identification cards, money, and cell phones, then fled on foot to the 73900 block of Joshua Drive, where deputies later arrested them. Deputies located and recovered all the stolen property. The handgun used in the robbery was found on Reynolds’ person. Cedrick Reynolds and Antonio Torres were arrested for investigation of armed robbery, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $100,000 each.
