Two men were arrested Tuesday, accused of transporting drugs. About 2 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy mad a traffic stop on a vehicle near Highway 62 and Grand Avenue in Yucca Valley. Inside were John McVeigh, 69, of Morongo Valley, and Garry Blake, 62, of Yucca Valley. During a search of the vehicle and occupants, the deputy found methamphetamine on both men. John McVeigh and Garry Blake were arrested for investigation of transporting methamphetamine, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $50,000 each.
