TWO ARRESTED FOR DRUG SALES IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

Two men were arrested early Saturday morning, accused of possessing heroin for sale. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy made a traffic stop of a vehicle about 1:30 a.m. near Adobe Road and Foothill Drive in Twentynine Palms. The deputy determined that a passenger in the car, later identified as Brian Watson, 42, was on parole and was in possession of a controlled substance. A back seat passenger, Randy Listrud, 32, had two warrants for his arrest, and was also in possession of narcotics and methamphetamine, which he admitted to selling. Brian Watson was arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance, and for violating the terms of his parole. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held without bail. Randy Listrud was arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin for sale, and on two warrants for his arrest, and is also being held without bail.
