Two people were arrested Sunday, accused of trying to steal from a Yucca Valley home improvement store. Deputies were called to the Home Depot store just before 3 p.m. Deputies say that Zachary Welch, 33, of Cathedral City, and Erica Hornbuckle, 34, of Desert Hot Springs, had concealed items from the store under their clothing, and then had walked over to the Walmart to change their appearance and hide from deputies. Zachary Welch and Erica Hornbuckle were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $25,000 each.
