Two people were arrested Thursday following a fight in Yucca Valley. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called at 4:30 p.m. about people fighting on the side of Highway 62 at Old Woman Springs Road. Deputies determined that Sharon Zampino, 58, of Yucca Valley, assaulted Ramon Cardenas, 37, of San Bernardino, with a knife. Cardenas was uncooperative with deputies, but deputies had had previous contact with him, and were able to identify and locate Zampino. Sharon Zampino was arrested for investigation of assault, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, and released on $50,000 bail. Ramon Cardenas was found to be in violation of his probation, and was arrested for his probation violation, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, and is being held without bail.
