TWO ARRESTED AT AN ILLEGAL GAMBLING OPERATION IN JOSHUA TREE

Two men were arrested Saturday (March 20) accused of running an illegal gambling establishment. Deputies went to the business in the 6400 block of Hallee Road in Joshua Tree about 7 p.m. armed with a search warrant, looking for an illegal gambling operation that had been running for several months. Deputies found several computers with gambling software, a large commercial gambling machine capable of accommodating several players at one time, a large amount of cash, and illegal drugs. Feras Abdalnou, 42, and Tony Ghanem, 54, both of Joshua Tree, were arrested on suspicion of illegal gambling, cited and released. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact investigators at the Morongo Sheriff’s Station.
