TWO ARRESTED AFTER SHOTS FIRED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

Two men were arrested in Twentynine Palms Saturday after shots were fired during an argument. Deputies were called to the 5300 block of Baileya Avenue about 6:40 p.m. for a call of shots fired. Deputies learned that Thyshawn Price, 47, of San Jacinto, and Melvin Peters, 23, were arguing when it became physical. Both men retrieved firearms and several shots were fired. Thyshawn Price and Melvin Peters were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $50,000 each.
