Two people were arrested at a motel in Twentynine Palms Friday, accused of selling cocaine. A motel employee called deputies just before 8 a.m. Friday because three men were trying to enter a room, and none of the men were registered guests at the motel. Deputies went to the 72500 block of 29 Palms Highway and contacted the room’s occupants, Nena-Merai Bustillos, 19, and Tyler Cobb, 20. Bustillos was found unresponsive, and paramedics were called to assist. Deputies found several items in plain sight that were consistent with sales of illegal drugs, including more than 30 grams of suspected cocaine. After being revived, Bustillos stated that all the items belonged to her. Deputies located more than $1000 in Cobb’s possession, along with other evidence that linked him to the sales of cocaine. Nena-Merai Bustillos and Tyler Cobb were arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance for sales, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and were both released on a $50,000 bail bond.
