A woman who was injured almost four weeks ago in a car crash in Twentynine Palms is still in the hospital with critical injuries. On September 11, a truck driven by Krystal Robbins, 31, pulled out from Panorama Avenue to make a left-hand turn onto Highway 62. Her truck was broadsided by another truck traveling eastbound on the highway. Robbins and her 1-year-old daughter Keara were injured in the crash and flown to Desert Hospital and Loma Linda Children’s Hospital. While Keara’s head injuries were serious, her family says she is recovering. Robbins, however, is still in a coma and on life support for breathing. Her fiancé, Bobby Bitter, and their families are grateful for all the prayers and donations that have poured in from the community to support them at this time. Bitter’s mother, Caren Bitter, says, “Once again this small town has shown its big heart. Bobby and I want to express our most heartfelt gratitude for all the love and support we have received from you.”
A Go Fund Me campaign was started to help the family pay for medical bills and other unexpected expenses, and can be visited at: https://www.gofundme.com/help-krystal-and-keara-to-recovery
