TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ARRESTED ON A LONG LIST OF ALLEGATIONS

A deputy on routine patrol in Twentynine Palms early Thursday morning noticed a suspicious vehicle and arrested a Twentynine Palms woman on multiple charges. According to a Sheriff’s report, the deputy saw a white Ford truck near Highway 62 and Adobe Road about 3:20 a.m. Thursday morning. The truck, which was parked behind a business, had its headlights on and the driver’s door was open. The deputy began to look for the driver and saw a woman, later identified as Olivia Leclerc, 29, crouching by the building. When the woman saw the deputy, she attempted to flee, but she was detained after a short pursuit. The report states as the deputy neared the woman, she placed her hands above her head; she was allegedly holding a Ford vehicle key in one hand. A records check found that Leclerc had a felony, no-bail warrant for her arrest, and the truck had been reported stolen in Long Beach. The deputy states that Leclerc admitted to driving the vehicle and running away because she was high and drunk. A search of the vehicle found drug paraphernalia and tear gas. Olivia Leclerc was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, and on a no-bail burglary warrant. Leclerc was booked into West Valley Detention Center with her bail for possession of the stolen vehicle set at $50,000.
