TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DUI AFTER NEARLY HITTING PATROL CAR

It’s never a good idea to drink and drive, but it’s an especially bad idea to drink and then almost drive your car into a Sheriff’s patrol car. According to a Sheriff’s report, about 9 a.m. Wednesday, Tracy Davis, 52, of Twentynine Palms, pulled her vehicle out in front of a patrol unit, forcing the deputy to brake sharply in order to avoid hitting her. She then rolled through a stop sign and drove on the wrong side of the El Paseo Drive and rolled through a second stop sign. She pulled out onto Adobe and almost collided with the center median, before she finally pulled over for the deputy at Adobe Road and El Paseo. After an investigation, Tracy Davis was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content greater than .08. Davis was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and released about 9 p.m.
