TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER ROAD RAGE INCIDENT

A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Friday afternoon after an incident of road rage. According to a Sheriff’s report, Connie Rocha, 29, a passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway 62, was angry at another motorist who was following too closely, and so she pulled out a 9-mm handgun and pointed it at the motorist. The motorist called police who pulled over Rocha’s vehicle for questioning. The report states that under the Miranda warning, Connie Rocha admitted to brandishing the weapon and to carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. Rocha was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail.
