A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Tuesday, accused of threatening neighbors with a shovel. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim called deputies to the 71600 block of 29 Palms Highway about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, claiming that he was arguing with Laurie Wallace, 52, when it escalated into a physical fight. The victim said that Wallace swung a shovel at him and his elderly father, who uses a walker, and said she said she would kill them both. After an investigation, Laurie Wallace was arrested on suspicion of assault with a weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $50,000.
