TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING HER MOTHER

A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Saturday, accused of threatening her mother. According to a Sheriff’s report, the mother activated a medical alert alarm just before 5 a.m. Saturday and reported that her daughter, Nieya Butler, 35, was breaking items in the house in the 73800 block of Sunnyslope in Twentynine Palms. She also said that Butler was verbally abusive and aggressive toward her, and that she threatened to destroy the home. Nieya Butler was arrested for investigation of elder abuse, and on a warrant for burglary, booked into West Valley Detention Center, and is being held without bail.
