A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Thursday after her boyfriend said she charged at him while holding a sword. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy was called to the 6600 block of Mesquite Avenue in Twentynine Palms just before 2 p.m. Thursday. The victim told the deputy that he and Anna Smith, 22, were arguing over her father’s sword, when she pulled it out of its sheath and charged at him. The man said Smith was waving the sword back and forth and said she was going to slice him up. After an investigation, Smith was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $50,000.
