A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested, accused of stealing television sets and then selling them. The victim called deputies about 10:45 a.m. Saturday to report that her tenant, later identified as Sheverlain Miller, 27, had stolen more than $2,500 in TVs and other property from her home in the 73200 block of Raymond Way in Twentynine Palms. She said Miller than allegedly sold two TVs to a woman who learned they had been stolen. The buyer contacted the owner who confirmed the theft. The original owner reported the thefts to the Sheriff’s Department, who learned other people had also unknowingly purchased the stolen property. Sheverlain Miller was arrested for investigation of grand theft and false impersonation, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $25,000.
