TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ACCUSED OF RESISTING ARREST AND OTHER DRUG CHARGES

A Twentynine Palms woman with a felony warrant was arrested early Thursday morning (September 23) accused of resisting arrest and other drug-related charges. According to Sheriff’s reports, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle near the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and East Court Way in Twentynine Palms for an inoperable license plate light. During the stop, the operator provided a false name to the deputy. The deputy correctly identified the operator as Brianna Dupree, 26, and determined she had a felony warrant for making criminal threats. Brianna Dupree was arrested for investigation of resisting arrest, providing false identification to a peace officer, being in possession of drug paraphernalia, on her $150,000 felony warrant for making criminal threats, and on a $25,000 misdemeanor warrant for being in possession of methamphetamine. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail where she is being held without bail.
