A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Friday morning, accused of being involved in a hit-and-run crash. About 8:30 a.m. Friday, deputies were on patrol in the Indian Cove neighborhood of Twentynine Palms when they found a vehicle stopped against a broken guard rail at Indian Cove Road and Gorgonio. The front end of the vehicle was hanging over the edge of the road. The keys were in the ignition and the vehicle was still running, but there were no occupants at the scene. Deputies contacted Karla Eusse-gil, 24, who is the registered owner of the vehicle. She admitted to driving the vehicle and losing control after drinking alcohol at a party in the Indian Cove area the previous night. Neighbors had called deputies several times complaining about the party. Eusse-gil had prior DUI arrests and had a suspended license for driving under the influence. Karla Eusse-gil was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run with property damage and driving on a suspended license, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, cited and released.
