TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ACCUSED OF FORGERY

A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Friday, accused of attempting to open a bank account with a stolen check. About 5 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to Union Bank in Yucca Valley when Tiffany Hall, 30, tried to open an account with a check that had been made out to her. The teller determined the check had been stolen and notified deputies. The owner of the check confirmed she did not know Hall and had not written a check to her. Tiffany Hall was arrested on suspicion of forgery, booked into West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $25,000.
