A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Monday morning, accused of threatening and beating up her husband. According to a Sheriff’s report, Melissa Madrid, 33, was angry with her stepson, and when her husband told her to calm down, she allegedly grabbed a knife and held it under her husband’s chin. The victim also said when he managed to get away, Madrid followed him and started pushing and shoving him, which ripped his shirt and scratched his arms and upper body. Melissa Madrid was arrested for investigation of felony spousal abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $50,000.
