TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ACCUSED OF CHILD ENDANGERMENT

A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Thursday night, accused of child endangerment. According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies went to a mobile home park in the 4500 block of Adobe Road about 9:30 p.m. when a neighbor reported that Brittany Phillips, 27, was abusing her child. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Phillips, who was drunk, became angry with her 7-year-old child after he accidentally spilled food in the house. The report states Phillips began yelling at the boy, choked him, hit him in the face, threw him against a wall, and threatened to kill him. After an investigation, Brittany Phillips was arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment, booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $100,000. Phillips also had a probation hold placed on her. The child was taken in protective custody by Child Protection Services.
