A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Thursday morning, accused of trying to kill herself and her two daughters. Sheriff’s investigators say that Cindy Vang, 31, drove away from her home on the Marine Corps base about 6:30 a.m. with her 6-year-old and 9-year-old daughters. They say that after she left the base, she tried to intentionally kill herself and her two children by crashing her car on Morongo Road near Raymond Way in Twentynine Palms. Vang and her 6-year-old daughter were rendered unconscious in the crash; the 9-year-old called 911 about 7 a.m. to report the crash. Vang and the younger girl were taken to a local hospital for evaluation by Morongo Basin Ambulance; the daughter was later released to her father. Cindy Vang was arrested for investigation of attempted murder and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $1 million.
