After taking the 2020 season off for Covid safety, the 53rd Battle of the Bell football game between Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms High Schools was played Friday night (April 9). Twentynine Palms had a decisive victory at 43-7. With a Covid abbreviated season, Twentynine Palms now has a record of 2-1, Yucca Valley is 0-2; The Yucca Valley Trojans last won the Bell in 2019 and held the bell when the 2020 season was cancelled. The overall record for the Bell game is 34 wins for the Wildcats to 19 for Yucca Valley.
