The Twentynine Palms Water District Board of Directors has called a special meeting today, Monday, June 8. In closed session they will negotiate a salary for their new general manager. The fire department will then meet following the closed session to appoint two members to an ad hoc committee to join the city ad hoc committee and discuss annexing the Twentynine Palms fire department to the county. The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. today at the Water District building at 72401 Hatch Road in Twentynine Palms.
